I found this clever little game in a book called 'Dice Games Properly Explained' , by Reiner Knizia, a prolific, award-winning game designer whose games include Tigris & Euphrates, Lost Cities, and Lord of the Rings.
The rules are really simple. Players take turns in order. On your turn, roll the dice. Then choose which column to place your total rolled score. You cannot choose a column which is already occupied by one of your earlier scores.
At the end of the game, when the grid is completely filled, each column is scored. To win a column, you must have the highest number in that column. If there is a tied highest number, nobody wins that column.
The score for winning each column is given by the column heading. So column '2' will score you 2 points if you have the highest score in that column. Likewise column '12' will score you 12 points if you have the highest score in that column.
That's it! Hope you enjoy the game :)
