About the parishes

Welcome to the web page for our lovely, rural Bedfordshire villages and their Parish Churches.

Our Church buildings have centuries of history, our faith has Christ as its foundation and the people who centre their worship lives in these churches try to live their faith in the twenty-first century ever mindful of the history & living tradition within which they live. It is our aim to serve all the communities around us.

To arrange weddings, baptisms and funerals please email, or speak to a Churchwarden. For information about our churchyards, please see our churchyards page.

You are welcome to browse these pages to find the times of our services and to catch up on news and events.

The Parishes belong to a wider group of rural villages called the North Chilterns Group of Parishes in the Dunstable Deanery and are all Church of England churches.

Perhaps you are on holiday? We welcome visitors from any denomination. All full members of sister churches are welcome to share in Holy Communion with us or come to the rail for a blessing. Each village has its own Parish Church. In Totternhoe it is named for St Giles of Provence, in Stanbridge for St John the Baptist and in Tilsworth for All Saints. We will make you very welcome.

Living God's Love Prayer

Living God, draw us deeper into your love;
Jesus our Lord, send us to care and serve;
Holy Spirit, make us heralds of good news.
Stir us, strengthen us, teach and inspire us
to live your love with generosity and joy,
imagination and courage; for the sake of your world
and in the name of Jesus, Amen.
